Areeba lose staff in Kenya Airways crash

Accra, 10 May, GNA - MTN - SCANCOM, operators of Areeba network on Thursday, announced the death of four of its Cameroon staff in the Kenya Airways flight that crashed in south of Douala, Cameroon.

The staff members, who were travelling to South Africa on business, included the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Campbell Utton, Chief Financial Officer, Mrs Sara Stewart and her husband, Mr Adam James Stewart, the Company Secretary, Mr Patrick Njamfa and the Network Engineer, Mr Patrick Enam.

A release signed by Mawuena Dumor, the Corporate Services Executive said the Company's President and CEO, Mr Phuthuma Nhieko extended his greatest condolences to the bereaved family.

"MTN group President and CEO, Mr Phuthuma, on behalf of the board of directors, the executive and MTN staff across our 21 operations, I wish to offer our support and encouragement to the families of our colleagues and those of the other passengers and crew during this difficult time", the statement said.
