Nii Issah Okine, Head of Atowe Family has appealed to the public to respect the ruling of an Accra Appeals court, ordering that he should be substituted for Deitse Djanie, who is deceased. The ruling was made by Justice Francis G. Korbieh.

Deitse Djanie died on July 13, 2016.

Nii Okine, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra, urged the residents of Atoman near Amasaman, and the family members to take due notice of the court’s order to avoid people parading themselves as principal elders of the town.

The public are advised not to do any business transactions with certain persons who are not members of the family with regards to Atoman lands.

“Anybody who in diverse ways transacts any business with anyone other than the accredited Head of family of the Atowe does so at his or her own risk.

“I am the lawful representative of the Atowe family of Abola in Accra, and urged all transactions concerning any of a family member to be channeled through me,” he said.
