Apathy hampers exhibition of Voters' Register in Atwima District

Nkawie (Ash), Oct 14, GNA - Most of the voter registration centres in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District of the Ashanti Region have recorded low turn out of eligible voters to validate their official records in the Voters' Register.

A visit to the Cooperative Cocoa Shed, Nkawie-Kuma Old and New Mosques and the Akropong Catholic JSS Centres by the Ghana News Agency revealed that only few people were trickling in to crosscheck their data.

Some of the exhibition officers attributed the low turn out to inadequate publicity on the exercise. They were, however, hopeful that the process would later gather momentum.
