Anyinam School launches environmental campaign

The Managing Proprietor of Promising Hope Preparatory School at Anyinam in the Eastern Region, has urged learning institutions, churches and organizations, to work hard to ensure a clean environment.

He asked Ghanaians to support activities aimed at keeping the environment clean.

Mr. Emmanuel Ofosu made the call after a four-hour clean-up in the community by the school.

He asked the residents to endeavour to keep their environment clean, reminding them that “Cleanliness is next to Godliness.”

“Constant clean-ups would help prevent the breeding of mosquitoes, and eliminate malaria, since filth and pollution are natural hazards,” he stated.

The Managing Proprietor urged the youth to embrace national programmes, in respect of sanitation, adding that, they should also endeavour to put the welfare of the nation above their ideological, political and personal interests.

Mr. Ofosu further urged the youth to guard against immoral behaviour and persistent acts of indiscipline.

He advised Ghanaians to be law-abiding, in order to live in peace and harmony with one another.

He stressed that the school would continue to create public awareness on the negative effects of filth on the environment.
