Anomabu (C/R), Oct. 7, GNA - The Nkosuohen (Development Chief) of the Anomabu Traditional Area, Nana Aggrey I, on Thursday presented 30 street lights with accessories worth GH¢ 5,500 to help illuminate Anomabu Township.
According to Nana Aggrey, the thick darkness that engulfs the town due to the absence of street lights had made it dangerous for people to carry out activities at night.
He said the impending Okyir Festival of the chiefs and people of the area, which would be rounded off with a durbar on Saturday, October 9, would lead to the flooding of the town by tourists, which called for the street lights.
Nana Aggrey who described the absence of light in the town as “disturbing” expressed the hope that the street lights would enhance business activities in the night.
Kantamanto Amonoo XII, Chief of Anomabu expressed gratitude to the Nkosuohen and urged him to carry out more development projects in the area.
