The funeral poster of the late vice president, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, has been released.

The poster reveals full details for the funeral of the late vice president.

As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, the poster confirms that Mr Amissah-Arthur will be buried on Friday, July 27, after a burial service at the Forecourt of the State House and the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

This will be after he has been laid in state at the Foyer of the AICC on Thursday, July 26.

A memorial thanksgiving service will be held at the Calvary Methodist Church at Adabraka in Accra.

According to the poster, another thanksgiving service will be held at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Cape Coast.

Mr Amissah-Arthur, as reported by YEN.com.gh, died at the 37 Military in the early hours of Friday, June 29.

He had been rushed to the hospital after collapsing at the Airforce gym while training. The sixth vice president of Ghana's Fourth Republic, Amissah-Arthur served under John Mahama's administration.

He was 67 years old. Before becoming vice president in August 2012, Mr. Amissah-Arthur was Governor of the Bank of Ghana from 2009 to 2012.

From 1983 to 1986, he served as a special assistant to the Secretary of Finance and Economic Planning, Kwesi Botchwey under the Provisional National Defense Council (PNDC) government.

He also served as the Deputy Secretary for Finance in the PNDC government from February 1986 to March 1993.

From April 1993, he continued as the Deputy Minister for Finance in the under the Fourth Republic’s first government until March 1997.

Mr. Amissah-Arthur was appointed as Governor of the Bank of Ghana in October 2009 by then-President John Atta Mills.

He later became Vice-President of Ghana following the death of Atta Mills.
