Amissah-Arthur confided in me on NDC's 'loot and share' scheme - Kennedy Agyapong

Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has revealed how late Vice President Amissah-Arthur confided in him before his death.

According to Kennedy Agyapong, Amissah Arthur was unhappy about the 'loot and share' attitude by some officials of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) while they were in power.

"He once confided in me when I raised an issue he discussed with me concerning the current opposition party while in London. He revealed to me how uncomfortable he was about how some greedy NDC officials loved to steal from the national coffers,” Kennedy Agyapong disclosed.

He described the Amissah-Arthur as a genuine politician who unlike the erstwhile President John Mahama who he said, is not "politically astute."

However, he stated that he had no issues with Mahama bacause he is fond of him hence has a good relationship with the Mahama family.

“He’s more like a brother to me because his wife used to call me ‘husband’”, he added.

Amissah-Arthur died collapsed at the Air Force Gym early Friday and was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where he was pronounced dead.



Amissah-Arthur who was the vice president of Ghana between 2012 and 2016 was married to Mrs Matilda Amissah Arthur and they have two children.

According to Captain Smart of Adom FM, Former Amissah-Arthur was training at the military gym when he collapsed and suffered a cardiac arrest.
