Anti-corruption campaigner Martin Amidu is a “victim of bogus informants" since he is unable to prove wild allegations against ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, veteran editor Kweku Baako Jnr has stated.

The former Attorney General has alleged the undercover and multi-award-winning journalist was commissioned by the government to undertake the judicial corruption scandal and will prove it in subsequent statements.

Anas reacted by describing Amidu’s claims as “baseless and hollow”, challenging the ‘Citizen Vigilante’ to come out with his evidence. A third statement from Amidu further alleged Anas’ Tiger Eye PI is a “fraudulent and unregistered” firm hence the government is dealing with an illegal company.

Speaking on Accra-based Peace FM, Wednesday, the editor-in-chief of the Crusading Guide Kweku Baako Jnr said Amidu is being misled by moles.

He stressed the government has nothing to do with the judicial corruption scandal, an assertion which has been corroborated by the communications minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah

“Tiger Eye PI has a legal team. They'll respond today. I see an element of shifting cultivation and he is embarking on a protracted discourse,” Baako Jnr, who is Anas’ mentor stated.

He was stunned at the “unimaginable conclusion coming from somebody of his integrity,” adding “I can assure him he is a victim of bogus informants.”
