Ghana Center Amida Brimah has made his long awaited Chicago Bulls debut after signing with the team mere days after this year’s NBA Draft. The former University of Connecticut Captain played in the Bulls 55-75 loss to Atlanta Hawks in the ongoing Las Vegas Summer League games.

Brimah played nine minutes but made a telling impression with four points, one rebound and blocking two shots for the Bulls.

After missing out in Chicago’s opening game in the desert which ended in a 75-92 loss to Dallas Mavericks, his performance against the Hawks is a positive sign for the Accra born defensive ace who averaged 2.3 blocks per game in his final season with the Huskies.

Chicago will be next in action on Wednesday July 12 against Washington Wizards.

He earned a National College title during his four year stint with Connecticut earning high praise for his shot blocking abilities.

However, the Bulls didn’t fare any better than the game against Dallas losing by 20 to a Hawks side that featured last year’s 12th pick Taurean Prince. The Bulls played without recently acquired Point Guard Kris Dunn.
