‎Amenfi Central Constituency in the Western Region is set for a major infrastructure boost, with key road construction projects officially confirmed and scheduled for completion by the end of next year.

The announcement was made by the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Joanna Gyan Cudjoe, following a briefing from the Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza.

The confirmed projects are expected to significantly improve connectivity and ease of movement for residents and businesses across the constituency. The key initiatives include:

Upgrading of Akyere Kwamang – Anyinabrem Feeder Road: A 19.04-kilometre stretch to undergo full upgrading.

Upgrading of Anyinabrem – Bonuamah – Armahkrom Feeder Road: Another vital 17.16-kilometre road scheduled for upgrading.

Bitumen Surfacing of Asankragua – Agona Amenfi – Sefwi Bekwai Road: A 53-kilometre section of this major route will be surfaced with bitumen to ensure smoother and more durable transportation.

Expressing profound gratitude, Joanna Gyan Cudjoe described the initiative as a long-awaited development that would transform the lives of her constituents.

“This is a great day for Amenfi Central. Improved roads are not just about easier travel; they are about economic opportunities, better access to markets for our farmers, and enhanced safety for everyone,” she said.

The MP extended her appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama and the Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, for their commitment to addressing the constituency’s critical infrastructural needs.

These projects are expected to greatly improve the transportation of agricultural produce, facilitate trade, and stimulate local economic activities within Amenfi Central and its surrounding communities. With a clear timeline for completion set for the end of next year, residents are eagerly anticipating a new era of improved road infrastructure.
