Accra, Jan. 20, GNA - Sheikh Dr Amen Bonsu, Chief Executive of the Amen Scientific Herbal Hospital, has called on Ghanaians to be more concerned about their food intake to enable them to stay healthy at all times. He said eating good food would not only make one healthy but contribute to the national developmental agenda. Dr Bonsu made the call at a seminar for patients of the hospital in Accra on Wednesday. He noted that strokes, hypertension and other liver related diseases were common among the young people due to their eating habits and lifestyles. The Chief Executive said most diseases could have been prevented if Ghanaians were more concerned about their diets. Dr Bonsu asked the participants to avoid taking fatty foods and eat more vegetables and fruits, which he said, were more nutritious. He urged the participant to avoid alcoholism, smoking and indiscriminate sex which could weaken their nervous system. Dr Bonsu charged them to ensure environmental sanitation to prevent diseases like malaria, diarrhoea and cholera. 20 Jan. 10
