Amazing Ghana – A Destination Marketing Company Promotes Ghana As A Preferred Tourism Destination At “Jata Tabihaku Travel Showcase In Tokyo, Japan.
AMAZING GHANA destination marketing services connects the Ghanaian and West African tourism market to the world, and recently at the “JATA TABIHAKU TRAVEL SHOWCASE IN TOKYO, JAPAN, organized by the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) at the Tokyo Big Sight East Exhibition Halls, Amazing Ghana was on hand to showcase Ghana's tourism and cultural potentials.

Themed, Japan – Treasure Islands of Tourism and Opportunity, JATA “TABIHAKU” Travel Showcase included a Tourism Forum, International Business Meeting, Exhibition, and Awards Commendation.

From Amazing Ghana's booth (#K20), brochures and DVD’s of various tourism entities in Ghana like the Golden Tulip Hotels, African Regent Hotel, Movenpick Hotel, Labadi Beach Hotel, M-Plaza Hotel, and the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre were on display as giveaways. The booth attracted hundreds of visitors who had come to taste for free, the choicest Ghanaian premium Golden Tree Chocolate without artificial additives, arguably the very best in the world whilst listening and dancing to Kpanlogo and borborbor tunes and several other authentic sounds of traditional instruments with the exuberance of highlife music and the complexity of African jazz, performed by the Kusun Ensemble. Ghana’s booth was one of the main attractions, winning the hearts of many visitors to the exhibition which had a total of 1,353 booths representing 730 companies/organizations participating as exhibitors from 154 countries and regions around the world. It was not surprising, therefore, that despite the early threats of heavy rains in the morning of Sept. 15 due to the approach of Typhoon Man-yi, the Tokyo Big Sight in Odaiba was heavily patronized by Japanese and other nationals who had trooped in to witness a dazzling performance by the Kusun Ensemble with a brand of music and dance they have dubbed “NOKOKO”. On the eastern and western stages as well at the official closing ceremony, Kusun ensemble electrified the frenzied audiences with a revival of a vital art. For more than 45 minutes on each stage, Nii Tettey Tetteh and the Kusun Dance Ensemble performed pieces from Ghana, Benin & Mali. The sunny, summer weather seemed very friendly as the barefooted dancers somersaulted across the stages, midriffs bare, wearing grass skirts and brightly embellished jewellery, backed by instruments made up of wooden flutes, four different types of drums and a traditional percussion instrument consisting of two balls of wood connected by a string. Ghana’s Ambassador to Japan, his Excellency Edmond Kofi Agbenutse Deh, Embassy staffs and other African co – exhibitors were of so much praise for Amazing Ghana for taking the initiative to market Ghana on behalf of the private sector directly to outbound tour operators from Japan. His Excellency Ambassador Deh commended Amazing Ghana for the initiative to market Ghana's tourism and cultural products in Japan, and urged the company to broaden its horizon to China and South Korea. Not to be outdone by the golden tree chocolates and the Kusun Ensemble, Ghana's Kasapreko Alomo Bitters also caused uproar of its own. This was when a competition was held for various drinks from all the exhibiting countries. Amazing Ghana gave out a bottle of the drink from their personal stock, and amazingly, Kasapreko Alomo Bitters was adjudged the best from amongst the hundreds of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Amazing Ghana will continue to market Ghana's tourism potentials to the rest of the world as we have been doing over the years, with support from our cherished clients which include Ghana Tourism Authority, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, MMDAs, Hotels, Resorts, Tour Operators, Airlines, Travel Agents and Travel Trade Associations.
