Am a unifier to lead NPP to victory in 2012-Osei

Tema, June 2, GNA - Mr Isaac Osei, one of the five presidential aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said he was a unifier who could lead the party to victory in the 2012 General Election. Addressing polling station executives of the party in the Tema East Constituency in Tema on Monday, Mr Osei assured the members that when given the nod, he would leave no stone unturned to ensure that NPP was returned to power.

Mr Osei who also addressed similar gatherings in the Tema West, Ashaiman and Kpone-Katamanso constituencies in the metropolis, he urged members to putt the party first in all their endeavours, since in his view, no single individual was bigger than the party. He advised members and supporters of the NPP to guard against divisive tendencies, reminding them that with a unified front, victory would not elude the party in 2012. Mr Osei who is also the Member of Parliament for Subin in the Ashanti Region, said he was determined to

become the next President of Ghana, and therefore appealed to the polling station executives who are

kingmakers of the party, to select him as their choice. He asked the executives to start their electioneering campaigns from the grassroots, by interacting with

people down there, and telling them about the bad policies of the current government. Mr Osei advised other contestants in the race to refrain from engaging in campaigns of insults and

backbiting and pledge their unflinching support for whoever emerged as the choice of the majority of party

faithful in August. He said if elected to lead the party, rural development would be the cornerstone of his policies and

programmes to help move the nation forward. 2 June 10
