Aluworks recovery pushed GSE up

Accra, Oct. 24, GNA - A remarkable recovery of Aluworks Limited in quiet trading on Monday pushed up the GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index.

The GSE All-Share Index went up by 0.23 points to 4,888.90 points from 4,888.67 points despite a substantial loss by Home Finance Company. Change for the year remained at -28.09 per cent. Traded shares almost doubled to 103,200 from 53,700 on Friday while market capitalisation was better at 92,177.68 billion cedis from 92,177.08 billion cedis.

On the broader market, Aluworks gained 495 cedis at 5,000 cedis but Home Finance Company lost 200 cedis at 6,800 cedis.
