St. Joseph R/C School has undergone a remarkable facelift, thanks to the St. Joseph’s Old Pupils Association. Once plagued by intrusions and poor conditions, the school now boasts a secure fence, fresh paint, cemented floors, and landscaped grounds, creating a safe and conducive learning environment.
Association President Afriyie Asamoah said the project reflects the alumni’s commitment to giving back to the institution that shaped them, praising George Barfi, Assembly Member for Ashtown, for his instrumental support.
He noted that more projects are planned and called on government and philanthropists to assist.
Headmistress Mavis Horsu expressed gratitude, recalling how intrusions disrupted learning before the renovations.
“Now, our students feel secure and focused,” she said.
Barfi celebrated the project’s completion as an investment in the community’s future, stressing the role of visionary leadership in education.
The transformation stands as a testament to how alumni engagement and community collaboration can turn struggling schools into inspiring spaces for learning and growth.
