Alleged fraudster arrested by BNI while on honeymoon

Officials of the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) have confirmed the arrest of 39-year-old Sahadatu Abdul-Rahman, who is otherwise known as Saharatu Adams Lizy, MyNewsGh.com reports.

The suspect who had just finished her wedding at the Bethel Prayer Ministry International opposite the Kumasi Police Depot at Anomangye-Mpatasie in the Ashanti Region, was nabbed by the security operatives while on honeymoon at a secret location.

According to information gathered by MyNewsGh.com, Saharatu Adams Lizy who has been playing hide and seek with security agencies, is neck-deep in series of fraud cases in the country.

This is evident by the litany of complaints of her alleged fraudulent acts lodged with the police at various stations. Luck has however eluded her.

Sources reveal that she has also duped market women within the Tamale Metropolis running into several millions of Ghana Cedis and thereafter went into hiding with her accomplices until she was arrested.

Her modus operandi was collecting various foodstuffs from the women under the guise of supplying them to the Ghana School Feeding Programme with the promise to pay them with interest but failed to fulfill her part of the bargain.

A complaint was subsequently made at the police station and the Tamale Police Command started a search for the suspect in collaboration with the BNI before she was apprehended.

According to the police, she will be arraigned before court on eight counts of conspiracy to defraud by false pretenses and defrauding by false pretenses.
