Akwatia MP Pushes for Unity

THE MEMBER OF Parliament (MP) for Akwatia, Hon. Kissi, has appealed to the people of Akwatia to bury their differences and come together to help him develop the town.

Hon. Kissi was addressing the Chiefs and people of Akwatia last week when he interacted with them.

On the construction of Akwatia-Kusi road, he promised to fuel the grader which will clear the road.

Hon. Kissi also urged the management of Akwatia ECG to come out with the cost of rehabilitatiing the street light for him to fundit .

He appealed to the people of Akwatia not to do any thing that will block the Urban 5 Project, which is due to start very soon.

Hon. Kissi urged all those who have kiosks at the station to remove them within two weeks' time in order to allow the reconstruction of the station to start and warned that if they fail to remove it and the work starts they will pay for the demolition charges.

Lastly, he urged headmasters of various schools in Akwatia to educate school children on AIDS.

He also appealed to the headmasters to meet and come out with their needs in the school so that he can help.

The Chief of Akwatia, Barima Kofi Boateng, also urged the youth to abstain from social vices, such as unprotected sex and drug abuse, because they are the future leaders of the nation.
