Akwapim South NDC holds congress

Nsawam (E/R), April 25, GNA - Mr Rexford Denkyi, second vice-chairman of the Eastern Regional chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has asked members of the party to debunk any negative propaganda against the party by the opposition.

Mr Denkyi asked members and supporters alike to mobilise all human and material resources, to ensure overwhelming victory in the impending presidential and parliamentary elections.

He was addressing the Akwapim South Constituency delegates congress of the NDC at Nsawam. A resolution adopted at the congress, pledged support for the candidature of Professor John Evans Atta Mills, as flagbearer of the party in the December presidential election.

The branch expressed confidence that Professor Atta Mills would continue with the social and economic development of the country. Mr Anthony Anyan, the constituency chairman, noted that the NDC would sweep all the votes in the constituency, but cautioned against complacency.
