The Member of Parliament (MP) for Lawra Constituency in the Upper West Region, Anthony Abayifa Karbo has reiterated government’s commitment to making the country a better place to the benefit of Ghanaians.

He disclosed that things were in bad shape prior to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo taking over as president and believes that six months down the line, there are indications things are going on well due to good policies and programmes being initiated by his government.

According to the Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, it has always been the vision of the president to see the country move forward and therefore urged Ghanaians to rally behind him to make things work better for their own good.

In his view, it was apt for the electorate to reject the immediate past National Democratic Congress (NDC) under former President John Dramani Mahama because his management style of the economy was plunging the country into abyss.

This he observed, led to several investors losing confidence in the Ghanaian economy but disclosed that a tall list of investors are now seeking to partner the current government in various areas including planting for food and jobs.

Speaking on Peace FM, he was full of praise for the current president who despite machinations and character assassination stood his ground and received the favour of Ghanaians at the polls.

He discounted claims the president will not be able to honour his campaign promises to Ghanaians indicating that the foundation of these promises are being worked on and Ghanaians will soon see things in motion.

“It won’t be long and we will take off. And when this President eventually takes off, there’s nothing that will stop him because his determination to put this country is unparalleled”.

“For me, God-sent Akufo-Addo, he’s the man and I hope the country and everybody in Ghana will pray for this man to lead the country in the right direction. And it is very clear so far. Everything he’s doing and all plans he’s making means this country will go forward,” he said.
