Akufo-Addo tours Central Region

Winneba (C/R), Sept. 29, GNA- Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, a Presidential Aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has urged Constituency Executives and Polling Station Agents of the party to choose a person who is marketable and would be able to lead the party to victory in the 2008 general elections.

"The 2008 election will be different for the party, because there would be a change of presidential candidate and therefore a marketable person who would be accepted by Ghanaians.

Nana Akuafo-Addo said this when addressing constituency executives and Polling station agents of the party from Agona East and West, Gomoa East and West, Awutu Senya and Effutu at Winneba on Friday.

Nana Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians "not to make a mistake to bring the NDC back to power, but should vote for NPP to continue with the already laid down structures by President John Agyekum Kufuor administration."

He said he is the only candidate who would be able to beat Professor John Evans Atta Mills in the general election and appealed to the delegates of the party to give him the mandate to lead the party to victory.

Nana Akufo-Addo gave the assurance that he would support any of the other candidates who would be elected as the flag bearer of the party.

He urged his colleagues and their supporters to avoid using abusive language and insults against one another during the campaign, because it would not help the party.
