The Minority spokesperson on Communication, A.B.A Fuseini, has described the President’s Military base deal speech as disappointing, terrible and indecent.

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Thursday addressed the general public on the Ghana-US military base agreement.

The President said considering the realities of our circumstances and the challenges to peace in our region in our time, the government deemed it prudent to continue the Defence Co-operation Agreement with the United States of America.

The President said Ghana has not offered a military base, and will not offer a military base to the United States of America.

Speaking to Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, Minority spokesperson on communication in Parliament, A.B.A Fuseini said the President's statement was full of insults and indecorous language geared towards the opposition.

According to him, the President’s delivered an address full of anger which exposed his overzealous nature.

“Presidency is a dignified position and a highly respected office which requires a language that is dignified and polite. Unfortunately, the President’s address on the Ghana-US Military base lacked all the decency that was expected”, he stated.
