Akufo Addo plans demo against Kufuor

In a screaming headline story, the Ghana Palaver says its scouts have unearthed a comprehensive plan by Nana Akufo Addo, Minority Spokesman on Constitutional and Legal Matters, to use the NPP youth wing to press home his political ambition or create confusion in the party. According to the Palaver, the youth wing, which is not recognised by the pro-Kufuor group, is circulating letters calling on all the regional and constituency youth wings of the NPP to drum up support for Nana Akufo Addo to be considered as the party's running mate to Mr. Kufuor. The paper says the letters are to be followed by stage-managed demonstrations by Akufo Addo loyalists, calling on the National Executive Committee and the Council of Elders of the NPP to ensure his nomination for the position of running mate.
