Former Deputy Minister of Information under former President Mahama’s administration, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has described the first gentleman of the land as 'cruel'.
According to him, then candidate Akufo-Addo felt good to talk evil about then President John Mahama to win power, but feels uncomfortable when the same thing is being repeated whiles he is in power now.
“President Akufo-Addo is a vindictive leader who always thinks about himself and members of his party only, neglecting all others who don’t fall within the stated category,” he stated.
Discussing Ofosu-Ampofo and Kweku Boahen’s trial in court over an alleged leaked tape, Felix Kwakye Ofosu insisted he sees nothing wrong with the leaked tape that should call for court proceedings.
“NPP should show us the exact words in the said tape which has never been used in this country before, especially in their days of opposition that needs a court action. For me I believe the tape does not call for any court action,” he insisted.
However, in an interview with Adom FM’s 'Mpensenpensenmu' newspaper panel discussion segment, the NDC Communicator lamented that members of the NPP and the government in power have intentionally brought up this court case against the party Chairman to disrupt the party’s campaign programme.
“This is a cheap strategy by the governing party to frustrate our party dealings towards the 2020 elections and also silence vibrant members to favour their party, but it will not work,” he said.
