July 4, 2011, Obomeng:- The 2012 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Sunday morning began his nationwide “listening Campaign” in the Eastern Region.

His campaign for the 2012 elections began with prayers at the Christ Apostolic Preachers Church in Akwasiho, Abetifi, Kwahu.

From there, Nana Addo and his entourage visited 8 more churches in the constituency, with the various congregations praying for God’s protection and guidance in his campaign efforts to lead the nation in 2013 towards economic transformation and a brighter future.

His second place of worship was with the Christ Apostolic Church, followed by the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and Ramseyer Congregation, all in Akwasiho.

The NPP flagbearer’s next stop was Esikam, where he joined the St. Michael Church and the Church of Pentecost for prayers. In all the churches, the pastors and congregants commended the candidate for his positive message of hope and his policy of creating a new society of opportunities for the youth.

From the churches, Nana Addo took his unannounced visits to the streets, where he interacted with the communities and held one-on-one impromptu discussions with individuals.

The towns he visited on day one included Abenam, Aduhima, Suminakese, Whewhe, Pepease, Nkwatia, Aduamoa and Abetifi.

Nana Addo is on a “listening campaign” to listen to the needs and concerns of Ghanaians and have a good idea of what Ghanaians today demand of their government.

He will be in the Eastern region for eight days and continue to the Central Region from July 13.

Accompanying Nana Addo on the tour are his Campaign Manager, Boakye Agyarko, Operations Director, Lord Commey, and his Press Secretary, Herbert Krapa.
