Akufo-Addo, Bawumia are pathological liars – Koku Anyidoho

Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Koku Anyidoho has described the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and his running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as pathological liars.

Koku’s comments come after Nana Akufo-Addo had reacted to a suggestion by Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur that the NPP is plotting to rig this year’s presidential and parliamentary elections.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Accra, Nana Akufo-Addo expressed shock over the Vice President’s comments, saying that it is rather Mr Amissah-Arthur and his boss President John Mahama who have a copyright of rigging.

Koku Anyidohu in an interview on 3FM’s News Hour on Tuesday described Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia as pathological liars who have a history of deceiving Ghanaians. “When you put these two pathological liars together how dare they say that somebody has a rigging formula?” he asked.

“Nana Akufo-Addo should bow his head in shame and a pot should never call a kettle black. “Akufo-Addo and his running mate Dr. Bawumia lied pathologically to Ghanaians that we had an over bloated voters’ register, which he held a press conference on August 18 last year at the Alisa Hotel supported by Nana Akufo-Addo and told multitudes of lies about our voters’ register.”

According to the former presidential spokesperson, Dr. Bawumia has not been able to provide an iota of evidence to back his claims of over 76,286 Togolese nationals who vote in the Volta region.

“Akufo-Addo goes abroad and goes to say that we have over one million foreigners on our voters’ register for which reason our voters’ register is now an ECOWAS register and no more a Ghanaian register. “What he sought to do was to push the EC into creating a new register where they will have the opportunity to log minors into the register in their strongholds”.
