Ahmed’s murder: Police interrogates Nyantakyi

Former Boss of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has been interrogated following the death of Ahmed Suale, according to the Ghana Police Service.

In a statement issued by the Police Service, a team of detectives interrogated Kwesi Nyantakyi because the deceased played a role in the documentary; Number 12; an investigative piece which led to the dismissal of the former.

If you may recall, Ahmed Suale, partnered his colleague investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and Tiger Eye P. I. to produce Number 12: When Greed and Corruption Become the Norm.

According to the statement signed by ACP David Eklu, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has already started “extensive and rigorous investigations into the unfortunate killing of Mr Hussein Suale” and that the CID has and continues to interrogate other persons of interest as well as following up on multiple significant leads”.

The police further assured that they will undertake a thorough investigation of high integrity in the killing of Mr Hussein-Suale as well as all other unresolved crimes in the country.

“Updates and outcomes of these investigations will be made known to the general public as they become available and appropriate to do so,” the statement added.
