The General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party Kwabena Agyepong has met the disciplinary committee of the party over petitions of misconduct against him.
Some yet-to-be-known members of the party have formally petitioned the disciplinary committee to punish Mr. Agyepong over actions they describe as inimical to the progress of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition.
According to StarrFMonline.com sources within the executive body of the party, the committee met Mr. Agyepong last week and are expected to meet him again next week.
The move follows the indefinite suspension of the national chairman of the party Paul Afoko. Mr Afoko was suspended on October 23 following series of petitions against him. The Council of Elders of the party subsequently affirmed the decision. Afoko has, however, hinted at his intention to seek redress in the matter in court.
