Aduana Stars Chief Executive Officer, Albert Commey has revealed that his club has signed a contract with Amasco Consult to expand and upgrade the Osagyefo Agyemang-Badu Sports Stadium into a standard stadium ahead of next year's Africa campaign.

The Fire Boys have booked their name in next season’s CAF Champions League by winning the Ghana Premier League for the second time.

Speaking to Class Sports, he said: “Work has already begun at the stadium because we have signed a contract with a contractor and we have given him the sitting capacity that we want.

“I will have to go and do a follow up because the contractor has 45 days to complete the grassing of the field. We want to expand and see how we can use it, so we are very optimistic before we start our Africa campaign, we will be ready to host other teams,” he added.

Ahead of their Africa campaign next season, Mr Commey also said they are looking forward to signing both local and foreign players.

“We will be playing both international and local matches to make sure the players will be ready to face the big guns without difficulty.

“If, indeed, we want to make a mark, then there is a need for us to work hard because the players need to know the challenge ahead of us,” he added.
