Mr Edward Boakye Agyeman, a seasoned banker has been appointed the acting Managing Director (MD) of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), effective, April 1, 2005.
Mr Boakye Agyeman holds a Degree in Economics from the University of London, where he majored in Monetary Economics. He served as a Trainee Officer at the Hong Kong Shangai Banking Corporation (HSBC) from 1973 to 1975, when he was posted to the British Treasury.
In 2002 he was appointed Deputy Managing Director for Finance and Banking at ADB and made an Executive Board member.
Mr Boakye Agyeman is the President of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a Director of the Discount House Wing of the Fidelity Group.
