To commemorate the Mental Health Awareness Week, African ChangeMakers Ghana Chapter made a donation of some food stuffs and detergents to Shekhinah Clinic in the Northern Region (Tamale).

The donation, made on May 23, 2020 was led by the Chapter President, Madam Selina Aboyinga. According to her, the organization was inspired by the theme for this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week - kindness.

Selina remarked it was her expectation that mental health conversations will be elevated at all levels. This, she said, will help in educating people about the need to not stigmatise the mentally challenged.

She called on the general public to help people who suffer from mental illness and continue to be great friends. She was of the greatest conviction that this will support them in their journey to recovery as well as help them deal with their pain and give them a new sense of hope.

African ChangeMakers envisions to amplify leadership, entrepreneurial ingenuity and social innovations in every community across Africa and around the world, harnessing values-driven innovative solutions with sustainability in mind to champion transformation and impact across the world.
