The continuation of the murder trial of Gregory Afoko, who is being held for the death of the New Patriotic Party Upper East Regional chairman Adams Mahama has been adjourned at the instance of prosecution.
When the case was called, Chief State Attorney, Mr Matthew Amponsah told the court that even though all the prosecution witnesses are ready, he asked for the court’s permission to attend Ghana Bar Association’s legal education for lawyers.
Today prosecution was expected to have called the 9th of the 15 witnesses set to be called in this trial.
The court presided over by Justice LL Mensah obliged him and adjourned the case until tomorrow May 29, 2018 after the defence lawyer did not oppose.
