Afoko, Agyepong missing as Nana Addo addresses NPP

NPP national chairman Paul Afoko and General secretary Kwabena Agyepong were conspicuously missing as the flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo addressed developments in the party at the headquarters in Asylum-down today, Friday May 29.

The two have been accused of causing disunity and disaffection for the party.

They are also being blamed for the killing of the Upper East regional chairman of the NPP Alhaji Adams Mahama last week.

Seven regional branches of the party have already passed votes of no confidence in them.

The party’s caucus in parliament have also joined the calls for them to step aside.

But Akufo-Addo in his truce address today called for unity of purpose ahead of the 2016 elections.

He urged members of the elephant family to stop the blame game and work together.
