Admit difficulty in task ahead – Akufo-Addo told

President Akufo-Addo has spent a month in office since his inauguration President Akufo-Addo has spent a month in office since his inauguration

Political Analyst and lecturer at the University of Cape Coast Jonathan Asante Okyere is entreating President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his cabinet to admit the task ahead of them is difficult and ask Ghanaians for time to deliver on their promises.

Speaking in an interview with 3FM on Tuesday, February 7, exactly a month after the president took office, Mr. Asante Okyere said the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) should desist from posturing as if they are still on a campaign platform.

“The President in addition to the ministers and those holding the fort now should be bold enough to admit that the task ahead is herculean and for that matter they would want some kind of a briefing space to take certain policy directives,” he said.

Mr. Asante Okyere pointed out that a month in office is not enough to judge the president, adding that he believes the president will deliver on his promises made to Ghanaians.

“It’s still early days yet but I believe that he [President Akufo-Addo] will perform as he made us believe.

“So, as a leader, he only has to put himself together in a well composed manner and ensure and assure his followers and the larger citizenry, that, better days are ahead.”
