The Member of Parliament for Adaklu Constituency in the Volta Region, Kwame Agboza Governs has been attacked by some unknown gunmen.

According to the MP, he no longer feels safe for his life despite the promise by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) about National Security.

The MP says he was attacked but survived gunshot two months ago while returning from a trip to his constituency.

“I was shot at two months ago, it’s my first experience and this has not happened to me before,” the MP revealed.

Speaking on TV3’s New Day, the lawmaker said he now lives in fear for the fact that some hoodlums can be bold to attack security officials who are on duty at the police station.

Mr Agboza in his conversation said many Ghanaians are living in fear for the state of insecurity, therefore government and IGP must wake up and do more about the state of lawlessness.

He also blamed the level of high insecurity in the country on government for refusing to punish party vigilante groups who take the laws into their own hands.

The NDC MP alleged that Parliament has records of some individuals in green jumpers who are said to be Invisible Forces being trained at Asutuare.

“I haven’t seen any document in Parliament seeking to augment current security situation,” the MP said.
