The Acting Chief Justice, Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, has renewed calls for national unity following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight citizens on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Justice Baffoe-Bonnie led a delegation of Supreme Court justices in laying flowers at the ceremonial grounds in honour of the departed souls.
The delegation included notable justices such as Justice Omoro Issifu Tanko, Justice Senyo Dzamefe, Justice Sir Dennis Dominic Adjei, Justice Simon Gbiel Suurbaareh, and Justice Hafisata Amaleboba, among others.
In a short interview, the Acting Chief Justice emphasized the need for unity in the face of immense loss, highlighting the importance of coming together as a nation during times of grief.
Justice Baffoe-Bonnie also called on Ghanaians to remain united and avoid politicizing the deaths of the eight people who perished in the helicopter crash in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.
“These gallant men died in the course of duty, so we have to forge ahead in national unity and not politicize their death,” Justice Baffoe-Bonnie said in a short media interview.
“We should all have recourse to the legacy they left behind and serve our nation to the best of our abilities,” he added.
