Accra Psychiatric Hospital receives food items on Christmas Day

The Accra Psychiatric Hospital has received food items and toiletries from The Nasrul-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), Islamic Society on Christmas Day.

The items presented include: Bags of Rice, Bags of Sugar and Cantons of Cooking Oil.

The rest are; Sanitary Pads, Toilet Roll, Bar of Key soaps, Washing Powder, Detergents among others, worth over Five Thousand Ghana CEDI's (5,000.00).

The donation followed a successful 4th Biennial General Conference held in Accra, by The Society.

Presenting the items to The Staff of The Facility, Vice President of the NASFAT Worldwide, Ayodeji Abdul Rauf, noted that, their Society is community centered, interested in helping the poor and underprivileged in society, "the reception we got from Ghanaians both Muslims and non Muslims during our two-day conference reaffirmed the fact that, Ghanaians are hospitable."

And since our work is to promote peace and help people, we decided to give these items to our special friends on this special day, noted sounds sympathetic.

Mr. Abdul Rauf, "we were looking around this Christmas to syndicate unity of religion to the whole world.

Receiving the gift on behalf her boss and the Management, Deputy Director of Nursing Service, Beatrice Nyako, expressed profound gratitude to the leadership of NASFAT for recognizing the inmates on the happiest days on the Christian Calendar.

She said, "This has come at the right time when we're celebrating Christmas", adding mental disorder is bound to happen to...."any of us who came here".

She thanked the Group and promised judicial use of the items.

The Team led by some of the Nurses tour the facility to put a smile on their faces, trusting that Lord will transform them.
