Accra Bourse continues to climb despite GCB loss

Accra, Sept. 3, GNA - The Accra bourse continued to climb in trading on Wednesday despite a 100-cedi loss by blue chip Ghana Commercial Bank.
The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main stock index, was up by 12.52 points at 2,568.28 points on a day that saw volumes traded going down by nearly half to 107,100 from 204,400. Change for the year was up at 84.07 per cent.
There were 11 price changes in active trading, 10 up and one down. Ghana Commercial Bank lost 100 cedis at 8,000 cedis. SSB Bank gained 110 cedis at 7,924 cedis, Guinness Ghana Limted was up by 100 cedis at 3,724 cedis, Enterprise Insurance Compnay gained 99 cedis at 6,800 cedis and Ghana Breweries Limted was 70 cedis richer at 740 cedis.
British American Tobacco gained 50 cedis at 2,150 cedis, Fan Milk Limited was five cedis better 2,936 cedis, Produce Buying Company gained two cedis at 1,002 cedis, Sam-Wood Limited gained two cedis at 288 cedis, Unilever was one cedi better at 8,701 cedis and Standard Chartered Bank was also one cedi richer at 58,504 cedis.
Market capitalisation closed up at 10,075.27 billion cedis from 10,043.66 billion cedis.
