Abronye alleges Prophet Roja demanded $1.5m from Bawumia to change 'Ken' prophecy

The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye, has alleged that controversial Ghanaian prophet, Samuel Henry, popularly known as Prophet Roja, the founder of Roja City International Church demanded $1.5 million from the camp of former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the NPP presidential primaries on January 31, 2026.

According to Abronye, Prophet Roja had initially prophesied that the former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, would win the primaries.

Speaking on his Ohia TV show, he alleged that the prophet had already taken $1 million from Kennedy Agyapong.

However, upon meeting Dr Bawumia’s team, the prophet reportedly stated that although he had already made a prophecy, he would be willing to change it if the team offered him $1.5 million to counter what he claimed to have received from Kennedy Agyapong.

Abronye further claimed that Dr Bawumia’s team told the prophet they did not have such an amount in their coffers to secure an electoral advantage.

“I will speak the truth now. The intimidation is too much. Some of these pastors have been blackmailing people in this country, including President John Dramani Mahama,” Abronye alleged.

“You prophesied for Kennedy Agyapong and made arrangements yourself to meet Dr Bawumia’s team. Bawumia said he was at a campaign ground, so you arranged to meet his team.

“You told them that even though you had already prophesied for Kennedy Agyapong, you could change your mind if they gave you $1.5 million to counter the $1 million Kennedy Agyapong gave you. We have CCTV footage to prove it, so if you want us to show it, we will,” he added.

Abronye also dared the prophet to refute the claims, stating that if the allegations were untrue, the prophet should invoke his spiritual powers against him.

“What I am saying is true. If I am lying, let your God strike me,” he said.

He further alleged that some Ghanaian prophets have been blackmailing individuals, including President John Dramani Mahama, to extort money from them.
