Abortion now fashionable among Ghanaian youth – Pastor

Pastor laments the growing rate of abortion Pastor laments the growing rate of abortion

The leader and Founder of Oracle of God Fellowship based in Ashanti Mampong of the Ashanti Region, Pastor James Agyei popularly known as Bishop has bemoan the rate at which people especially the youth engage in all kinds of abortions in the country .

He said abortion has become trendy amongst the youth but remained a source of worry to God because it is contrary to his teachings.

According to Pastor James, things have become so simple to the extent that a twelve-year old girl can walk freely into a pharmacy shop and buy medicines to prepare and protect her because she is going in for sex.

This he observed is shameful adding that it is also very disheartening to see women queue at pharmacy shops to buy drugs to terminate pregnancies questioning why they will engage in sex leading to pregnancy if they knew they were never prepared to bear children.

“I am shocked to see people walk about and calling themselves abortion doctors to the chagrin of our law enforcement agencies”, he observed.

‘Family planning and other medications is the oil that fuels and guarantee the zeal for illicit sex amongst the youth, forgetting that their bodies are the temples of God’ he counseled.

Pastor James warned against the practice of ‘Coitus interruptus’ withdrawal or pull-out method used as method of birth control in which a man, during sexual intercourse, withdraws his penis from a woman’s vagina prior to orgasm (and ejaculation) and then directs his ejaculate (semen) away from the vagina in an effort to avoid insemination.

He said it is a bad practice and thus admonish the youth to depart from it to avoid incurring the wrath of God.
