Abor Police look for suspect

Abor (V/R), Aug. 5, GNA - The Police at Abor in the Volta Region are looking for Kofi Agbeko, an unemployed who allegedly stabbed a farmer during an argument over fresh maize, local police said. A police source at Abor told the Ghana News Agency that the condition of the victim, Agbleke Agbodzi, 40, who was on admission at the Sacred Heart Hospital at Abor, had improved and that he was "out of danger".

The source said on July 30 this year Agbodzi brought fresh maize from his farm for his nephew who was on a visit and met Agbeko who demanded to know where he got the maize them from. The source said an argument ensued between them and Agbeko stabbed Agbodzi several times. He reportedly resisted arrest by eyewitnesses and bolted.
