Abena Osei Asare appears before Appointments Committee - Highlights

Being the second female deputy nominated to the Finance Ministry after Mona Quartey who served under the NDC, Abena Osei Asare appeared primed and ready for the task assigned her as she answered questions from members of the Appointments Committee regarding her portfolio.

In her capacity as deputy Finance Minister-designate, she addressed issues pertaining to revenue and revenue leakages, banking, and the imploration technology to improve tax generation in the country.

Regarding Ezwich, the Atiwa East MP indicated that her ministry under the leadership of the Finance Minister will work towards developing the platform in line with the Vice President’s vision.

Touching on the growth and development of women entrepreneurs in the country, Mrs. Osei Asare stated her intent of advocating in consultation with her head for special arrangements financially and training wise for women to be supported to develop themselves.

Abena Osei Asare is currently Member of Parliament for Atiwa East. She previously has served as Customer Team Leader Dealer at the Barclays bank and an Assistant Director Finance and Facilities at the NewYork University in Ghana.
