Abdul Razak not ready for GFA Technical Director role

Former Asante Kotoko coach and legend Abdul Razak Karim popularly known as “Golden boy” says he is not ready for the role of a Technical Director at this stage of his coaching career.

The Ghana Football Association has open doors for people to apply for the Technical Director role after Francis Oti Akenteng left the position last month.

Abdul Razak, who has vast experience in coaching has distance himself from the vacancy insisting that he is still interested in the field Job.

With the likes of Malik Jabir and Bashir Hayford applying for the job, the 1978 African Footballer of the year says he rejected similar role at Asante Kotoko and he is not ready for that role at the moment.

“I am not interested in becoming the Technical Director at this moment. I am still available and interested in the field”.

“For the moment I don’t think I am ready for that role. I had that same offer at Asante Kotoko but I rejected it”, he added.

Abdul Karim Razark, recently parted ways with with Togo’s Etoile Filante, citing management interference in player selection as the main reason for his departure.

He has previously coach Stade Malian and Dragons de l’Ouémé.
