A defeated NDC candidate satisfied with conduct of election

Winneba, Jan 20, GNA - A founding member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Kofi Mintah, has commended delegates to last week's National Delegates' Congress at Tamale and all those who contested for positions for exhibiting high sense of maturity and comportment. Mr Mintah, a defeated candidate for the position of National Vice Chairman, described the Congress as the best to be organized in the country.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Winneba, he said even though he lost the election he was not daunted because the team elected was capable of delivering.

"I think this is the best executives the NDC has ever elected", he said and added that "because of that those of us who lost are satisfied with the outcome of the election." "No party member must think that the success of the party depends on only the executives, each and every one must work towards that success".

He urged the new executives to ensure that the party's dirty linen were not washed and dried in public for its detractors to see. They must ensure that complaint units were set up and made functional at national, regional, district and constituency offices to resolve problems. 20 Jan 10
