Popular Ghanaian boxer Ayitey Powers has opined that 80 percent of local prophets in Ghana are fake and use dubious ways to rob people of their wealth.

Narrating his ordeal on how he went bankrupt for five years after returning to Ghana from abroad, Ayitey Powers said life became very difficult for him such that he had to depend sometimes on his friends to survive.

Ayitey Powers who is a staunch supporter of Nigerian Prophet T.B Joshua, said he resorted to churches and Prophets in order to seek the face of God but to his dismay he was robbed of the little money he has.

“Do you know the number of Churches I have gone here in Ghana? If they wake I'm praising T.B Joshua too much,” he said in an interview on the ‘TONIGHT’ show.

Powers added, “Sometimes I will go and Pastors will call me and say do this do that put this money in.”

Recalling an encounter he had in a church, Powers said “I don’t want to mention names but one Pastor took all my money and he asked for another money and I said daddy all the money finish. He said whatever you have put it down, put it down.”

“Ghana here a few pastors are only perfect and good but majority 80% are fake,” he maintained.

The boxer has, however revealed that Prophet T.B Joshua had rewarded him with a three bedroom house.

Ayitey Powers became popular after he lost two fights against his old foe Brimah Kamoko also known as Bukom Banku.
