8 health workers of Techiman Catholic Diocese awarded

The Techiman Catholic Diocesan Health Service Directorate has awarded eight workers of health facilities in the Diocese for their outstanding performances.

The awardees were arranged in two categories of junior and senior staff divisions with four beneficiaries in each group.

Mr. Barnabas Kwame Yeboah, Techiman Catholic Diocesan Health Director disclosed at this year’s celebration of the 23rd World Day of the sick at the Saint Teresa’s Hospital on Wednesday at Nkoranza in Brong-Ahafo Region.

The one-day programme, organised by the Directorate on the theme “I was eyes to the blind, and feet to the lame” was funded by the Most Reverend Bishop Dominic Yeboah Nyarko’s Award Project as an incentive package to boost the morale of hard-working staff of the Diocese.

Each of the junior staff beneficiaries received a table top refrigerator, a certificate and a citation, whilst the senior staff beneficiaries also had a Samsung-led flat screen television, a certificate and a citation.

Mr. Yeboah also announced that two students at the Techiman Nursing Training School, Miss Josephine Amankwaa, a midwifery student and Miss Belinda Adomako, a general nursing programme student who excelled in their examinations during the 2013/2014 academic year, were also given special awards for their incredible performances.

Each of them received a Samsung laptop computer and a certificate.
