This was announced by the head of disease surveillance at the Ghana Health Service, Dr Franklin Asiedu Bekoe at a press briefing on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.

“The good news is that 624 have tested negative and are awaiting their second test results,” he announced.

The remaining 71 workers with the coronavirus are said to be asymptomatic and are currently in isolation centres receiving treatments.

Meanwhile, Mr Bekoe said the fish factory is enforcing all the preventive protocols outlined by the Ghana Health Service to avoid further spread of the disease.

Also, social distancing and personal hygiene are highly practiced in the factory.
