About Fifty-Seven (57) visually impaired candidates are taking part in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which begun throughout the country on Monday June 5, 2017.

The number is among a total of 468,053 candidates comprising 241,148 males and 226,905 females writing the examination conducted by the West African Examination Council (WAEC)

The examination is being conducted in 1,702 centres nationwide with WAEC indicating that the number is in excess of 7,040 compared to the number of candidates in 2016.

Reports received from our reports across the country reveal that the conduct of this year’s exam is going on smoothly except few instances of delays in arrival of examination papers at some centres.
