57 inmates of Nsawam Prison to benefit from Justice For All initiative

The Justice For All (JFA) programme of the Judicial Service of Ghana has pitched its tents at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison where the programme is expected to hear some 48 applications with a total of 57 remand prisons hoping to benefit from the programme.

Three high courts have duly constituted within the premises of the Nsawam Prison and these courts will be hearing all 48 applications.

This time round the Chief Justice, Georgina Wood, Attorney General, Gloria Akuffo, Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery and the Danish Ambassador to Ghana, Tove Degnbol will all be in attendance to observe the proceedings.

The Justice for all programme is in its 10 year of existence having started in 2007 under the then Attorney General, Joe Ghartey.
