51 Police officers promoted

Fifty-one personnel of the Ghana Police Service have been promoted.

The nationwide promotion of the officers which was approved by the Ghana Police Council on January 1, 2018 will have a substantive effect from May, 2018.

A statement released by the security service, disclosed that the officers were upgraded from Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

Among the promoted officers is the Greater Accra Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Efia Tenge.

The statement read: “The Police Council has approved the promotion of the under-mentioned assistant Superintendents of Police to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police with notional effect from January 1 and substantive effect from May 1, 2018.”
