The Circuit Court Two in Cape Coast has sentenced Samuel Armah, also known as Kofi Nyan, to ten years imprisonment with hard labour for defilement.
According to a statement issued by the Central Regional Police Command on October 29, 2025, the incident occurred on October 16, 2025, at Mumford, where the accused reportedly lured the victim into a ghetto and sexually assaulted her.

“The defilement case involving the accused person, Samuel Armah alias Kofi Nyan, which occurred on October 16, 2025, was called at Circuit Court Two, Cape Coast, presided over by Her Honour Nana Aba Quiba Nunoo. The accused person pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to ten (10) years imprisonment in hard labour,” the statement said.

The accused person was sentenced on his own plea.
"The accused person pleaded guilty to the charge of defilement, and he was convicted on his own plea and sentenced to serve ten (10) years imprisonment in hard labour," it added.
